Justin D. Caplin

Justin moved to St. George when he was 13 years old and attended Snow Canyon High School. After receiving an associate’s degree from Dixie State College, he obtained a bachelor’s degree from Utah State University and a Juris Doctor from Brigham Young University.

Justin graduated early from law school to begin practicing law as soon as possible as an attorney at Moody Brown Law, Utah County’s top divorce and family law firm, where he handled dozens of mediations and hundreds of court hearings in district, juvenile, and justice courts, as well as successfully defending multiple cases in the Utah Court of Appeals.

In 2017 Justin and his family decided it was time to move back home to Southern Utah, where he has continued representing and advocating for individuals and families involved in life’s biggest and most difficult challenges. Justin’s practice focuses on all areas of family law, including divorce, paternity/custody, protective orders, modifications, and enforcement of orders. He loves being in the courtroom to advocate for his clients’ rights, negotiating out of court for fair and appropriate resolutions, and counseling with his clients as they navigate through their most challenging issues.

Justin enjoys spending time with his family in the outdoors and at sporting events, and is an avid fan and supporter of Dixie State University.
